Close to Avignon and the hotel
Markets with all the colours of Provence

Two markets close to the hotel are certainly worth visiting. These markets in Carpentras and L’Isle sur la Sorgue have been praised by the Conseil National des Arts Culinaires for having high-quality produce and a wonderful ambiance.
The market at Carpentras (less than 20 minutes from the hotel), classed as an exceptional market since 1996, takes place year-round every Friday from 8.30 am to 1 pm. Colours and flavours come together, and each season celebrates its produce, including strawberries, melons, grapes, basil, garlic and truffles.

The market at L’Isle sur la Sorgue, also classed as an exceptional market, is one of the oldest and liveliest in Provence. Its origins date back to the 12th century and its regulation to the 16th century. It takes place every Sunday year-round from 8 am to 2 pm in the town centre and the waterfront of the Sorgue river. Here you’ll find regional produce, seasonal fruit and vegetables from local producers, cheese, charcuterie and olives, plus artisan products, fine clothes and fabric, fashion accessories and decorative items.
